How we work with you

Business Genie personnel have many years experience as development consultants and trainers. We focus on your needs and use our knowledge and skills to identify the needs for development and training within your organisation. We can respond to clearly defined requirements or work with you to focus on the areas where you need our expertise.

Using methods that recognise the different learning styles within any group we are expert at developing in house workshops to reflect the culture of your organisation.

Our course development process involves you as the client in developing an appropriate specification, ensuring that your objectives are at the heart of the event. It may also involve participants in advance of the event, defining their own objectives and how they will hope to use the training.

Team building through training

We know from experience that the most effective team building takes place away from the work place, that individuals relish the opportunity to get to know one another in a completely different environment.

We have seen different professional groups leap forward in their working relationships as a result of team building activities at the beginning and throughout long term projects.

Whether you are a construction company working with clients, architect and sub contractors or an organisation restructuring and developing new teams it is vital that the team come together quickly to perform their tasks. With the help of our team of experts we can help them to move quickly (and with fun) to a point where they understand and value the contributions of all team members.

Stages in the development of the team building event would typically involve

Stage 1   Discussions with you to establish objectives, culture and individual goals.

Stage 2   Development and agreement to the programme content

Stage 3   Pre event team work

Stage 4   Event

Stage 5   Evaluation of impact.

Team building through activities

  • One day team building event (hotel based/outdoor activities)
  • Leadership development week (aimed at senior team/strategy makes, programme to meet organisational needs)

  • Sailing 3 or 4 day event with qualified RSA yacht master trainers and daily review and debrief.

Distance learning

If your teams are geographically dispersed, shift working or pressed for time during their normal working day there are still ways that they can develop their skills using the support of Business Genie personnel.

We are experienced in developing distance learning products for staff and supporting them through their development. Support can be either on line, via the telephone or through regular tutorials.

All our management development courses can be provided in a distance learning format with support to meet individual needs.

Where you have a specific learning need you may wish to work closely with us to develop a bespoke distance learning package to meet your needs e.g. Induction package, technical/product knowledge.

Accredited learning and assessment

Organisations and individuals are increasingly required to demonstrate to others their attainment of knowledge and skills.
